Liberty Specialty Markets (LSM), a division of Liberty Mutual Insurance Group, has promoted Lillian Hua to head of Latin America (LatAm) and U.S. War and Terrorism, effective January 12, 2026.
In her new role, Hua reports dually to Will Goldberg, chief of staff for Latin America and the United States, and Mike Burle, director of the global line on war and terrorism.
Hua’s responsibilities include delivering Liberty’s war and terrorism products to customers in Latin America and the United States. She will work with global teams and brokerage partners to support clients navigating the increasingly complex geopolitical risk landscape.
LSM explained that she has excellent risk expertise, deep market knowledge and excellent broker relationships, built on a decade of early experience in the insurance industry. Hua joined the company in 2020 and quickly became a key member of the team.
Commenting on the appointment, Burrough said: “Lillian is a great asset to the War and Terrorism team and her proven track record at Liberty provides her with a strong foundation for success in her new role: we congratulate her on her promotion.
