Liberty Specialty Markets, the commercial and specialty insurance arm of Liberty Mutual Insurance Group, has announced the appointment of Monique Kooijman as general manager for the Netherlands, Belgium and Nordics, subject to regulatory approval.
Koaijman will be based in the Netherlands and report to Pierre-Edouard Fraigneau, President of Liberty Europe.
She joins the company from Everest, where she served as head of Northern Europe. During this time, she contributed to regional expansion efforts and worked closely with brokers to strengthen strategic market relationships.
Kooijman has more than thirty years of international insurance experience, having held senior leadership positions at Chubb and CNA Hardy.
Liberty Specialty Markets noted that while at CNA Hardy, Kooijman served as regional director overseeing the Benelux countries, Germany and the Nordic countries. Prior to that, she spent 25 years at Chubb in a variety of senior management positions including claims, underwriting and country leadership.
