Global consultancy JS Held has announced the appointment of Irvinder Singh Lail as global head of capabilities.

In his new role, Irvinder will work to advance the company’s global operating model by standardizing how JS Held organizes and deploys expertise across regions, enhancing service delivery and expanding the capabilities of the company’s experts.

Irvinder will support the continued development of JS Held’s global services model, enhancing the way the company coordinates work across time zones to connect and mobilize the right experts for complex, time-sensitive matters.

The company currently has teams in multiple regions supporting 24/7 customer service. He will be tasked with formalizing the model by expanding centers of expertise, standardizing shared platforms, and expanding the infrastructure needed to support the company’s continued growth.

He will work alongside Jessica Larson, senior vice president of digital transformation, to help align global resource strategies with the company’s investments in advanced technologies.

He has over 25 years of experience in professional services, technology, banking, financial services and insurance.

Irvinder joins JS Held from Alvarez & Marsal, where he was responsible for building multiple capabilities and verticals for its global competence centers.

Prior to that, he served as senior director of global business services and head of the India office at Bain & Company. He also served as Director, Financial Services Consulting | Africa-India-Middle East at Ernst & Young.

Lee Spirer, President and CEO of JS Held, said: “The next phase of JS Held’s growth depends on how we carefully build the company, focusing not only on where we operate, but also on how our teams connect across geographies to serve our customers as an organization.

“Owend brings experience in further developing the operational systems behind our global model and identifying and sourcing specialist talent to expand the reach of our expert team.”

“Human capital and digital capabilities are two sides of the same equation,” Larson said. “As we expand automation and AI-powered workflows across the company, Irvinder’s work will ensure our talent strategies scale in tandem so that people and technology advance together, rather than apart. I look forward to working with him to accelerate the growth of both.”

“The response we are seeing from potential team members and customers reinforces the market opportunity before us,” Spiller added. “Irvinder’s appointment reflects JS Held’s continued momentum in serving clients who rely on us for high-risk work.”
