Intact Insurance announces the appointment of Rory Meleniclis as chief information officer.
In his new role, Meleniclis will lead the next phase of technology development for Intact’s entire global professional product line business, with a focus on strengthening core systems, advancing cloud capabilities and enabling faster, more data-driven decisions.
He will work closely with business and operational leaders to align technology investments with strategic priorities, increase speed to market and enhance responsiveness to broker and client needs.
Meleniclis has more than 20 years of experience leading large technology teams in highly regulated financial institutions.
Prior to joining Intact, he was at Royal Bank of Canada, where he led global multi-disciplinary teams responsible for core platforms such as payments, data and cybersecurity, supporting large-scale operations and transformation initiatives in North America and international markets. Most recently, he served as Senior Director of Core Banking, Cards and Payments Technology at RBC Caribbean Bank.
Throughout his career, Meleniclis has led cloud modernization, platform refresh and enterprise transformation initiatives, leveraging artificial intelligence, machine learning and data to improve performance, enhance customer experience and enhance risk management while balancing innovation with operational resiliency.
“Technology is critical to how we compete and grow,” said Lynn O’Leary, executive vice president and chief operating officer of Intact Insurance’s global specialty product line. “We continue to invest in modern, scalable capabilities that help us better serve our brokers and clients. Rory brings a wealth of experience leading complex change initiatives, and his leadership will help us build on this momentum.”
“The insurance industry is evolving rapidly as technology reshapes the way the industry operates,” Meleniclis added. “Intact Insurance has a strong foundation and clear direction and I look forward to working with the team to continue to build on this foundation and support the growth of the business.”
