INSHUR, a global provider of embedded insurance solutions for the on-demand economy, has launched a new commercial auto insurance programme for rideshare and professional drivers across the United States.
The programme is led by Mobilitas Insurance, with reinsurance support from Gen Re, and is written through Incline P&C Group. INSHUR says the programme is designed to support the expansion of its commercial auto offering into additional US markets.
INSHUR provides the programme’s MGA capabilities across pricing, underwriting, distribution and claims. Mobilitas brings its specialist experience in insurance for the mobility and sharing economy, while Incline provides the fronting carrier capacity. Gen Re provides reinsurance support to the programme.
The launch will enable INSHUR to expand a programme that has historically operated on a regional basis on the US West Coast into new markets. INSHUR will manage the insurance lifecycle, including pricing, underwriting, quoting, onboarding, policy administration, billing and claims handling.
According to INSHUR, its digital platform integrates with major rideshare and delivery networks, including Uber, allowing the company to use platform data as part of the insurance process. INSHUR also said it plans to develop its underwriting capabilities through artificial intelligence, enhanced risk segmentation and usage-based and telematics data.
The company said these capabilities could support more dynamic risk models for the on-demand economy, where driving patterns and vehicle use can differ from those covered by conventional commercial auto products.
Mobilitas will provide the lead insurance line, with reinsurance support from Gen Re. INSHUR said the arrangement brings together Mobilitas’ experience working with major rideshare and delivery platforms with its own technology and operational capabilities. Incline will act as the fronting carrier, extending a relationship with INSHUR that began through other programmes in 2025.
Dan Bratshpis, CEO and Co-Founder of INSHUR, commented: “On-demand drivers deserve insurance that works the way they do. This program uses real platform data to price risk more accurately, which means better outcomes for drivers and for the balance sheet. Mobilitas and Incline aren’t just comfortable with that approach; they’re invested in it. Combined with our platform partnerships, we have a distribution model that no traditional insurer can replicate. This is the infrastructure for what comes next.”
Jeff Huebner, Executive Vice President of Mobilitas, added: “Mobilitas was built to address the needs of stakeholders across the mobility ecosystem: drivers, passengers, pedestrians and providers. We deliver purpose-built insurance capacity, deep mobility-sector expertise and a long-term commitment to the sharing and on-demand economy, and are pleased to bring those strengths to market through a technology-enabled platform that offers more responsive, scalable insurance solutions for the mobility sector.”
Chris McClellan, President and CEO of Incline P&C Group, said: “The on-demand economy has the opportunity to reshape commercial auto, and this program positions Incline at the centre of it. INSHUR’s operational expertise in this area gives us the confidence to commit to this space at scale. It’s exactly the kind of partnership that drives Incline’s growth strategy: disciplined underwriting in markets with real momentum.”
