Insurance holding company W. R. Berkley Corporation has appointed Hena Choi as the new Head of Casualty for Berkley Re Asia, based in Singapore.
Choi has over two decades of experience across casualty underwriting, financial lines, and specialty products.
She brings a wealth of expertise and leadership that will complement Berkley Re’s existing regional capabilities, according to the reinsurer.
Choi spent most of her career serving as the Underwriting Principal at Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance in Korea. In this role, she gained expertise in Casuaty, Fin/Pro, and Specialty Underwriting.
She started her career as a Process Engineer at LG Display in 1998, also based in Korea.
In a statement, Berkley Re commented, “We are pleased to announce the appointment of Hena Choi as the Head of Casualty for Berkley Re Asia.”
