Specialist managing general agent (MGA) Euna has strengthened its medical underwriting team with the appointment of Sharon Brennan as senior medical underwriter and Rosie David as medical underwriter, as the company continues to expand its medical malpractice services to meet growing demand for specialist medical insurance.

The appointments follow a period of strong performance across Euna’s healthcare portfolio and are part of the company’s ongoing investment in underwriting expertise to support its continued growth.

Una said the appointments come as the UK’s private healthcare sector continues to expand. The NHS waiting list reached 7.3 million people as of December 2025, helping to increase the use of private health services across a range of medical specialties.

Areas such as orthopedics and gynecology are creating greater liability risks, while the new cosmetic surgery licensing regime is bringing previously unregulated sectors within the scope of professional indemnity requirements.

Chris Comerford, head of healthcare at Euna, commented: “Our proposition centers on fast, informed decisions, tailored solutions and access to experienced underwriters. This is increasingly important as the private healthcare market expands and the risks faced become increasingly complex. To continue to deliver on this, we need to invest in the best talent in the market.

“Rosie and Sharon are excellent additions to our healthcare team. Sharon has a proven track record at the highest levels of the market, while Rosie joins with solid foundations and real potential. Our healthcare books are at the heart of Euna’s growing offering and are performing extremely well. Rosie and Sharon will help us continue to enhance our proposition, deepen our underwriting capabilities and deliver the best-in-class service that brokers have come to expect from Euna.”
