Global reinsurance broker and Mash business Guy Carpenter has announced the appointment of Dorothee Melis-Moutafis as global account executive.
In her new role, Melis-Moutafis will focus on helping clients navigate complexity through coordinated, high-quality support across markets, bringing together the right expertise and insights to inform risk and reinsurance decisions, identify opportunities, and deliver consistent results globally.
The executive has been with Guy Carpenter since 2013, when she joined the company as managing director of the Property Solutions Group, responsible for France, Iberia, Italy, Greece and Turkey.
Since then, she has held multiple leadership roles within the firm, including Executive Vice President, Managing Partner and C-suite Engagement (her most recent role).
Prior to joining Guy Carpenter, Melis-Moutafis worked at Willis Re for 15 years. She initially joined the firm as a broker before being appointed divisional director, head of the London office for Iberia and Southern Europe.
In 2005, she became Executive Director and Head of Ronson’s business units in France and Iberia, and in 2012 she was appointed Executive Director and member of the Management Board of Willis Re France and Willis Re Iberia.
