Continental Reinsurance, a pan-African reinsurance company providing reinsurance solutions and services across African markets, has announced the appointment of Tumusiime Consolate as Chief Representative Officer of its Rwanda operations.
Consolate brings over 14 years of experience in underwriting and reinsurance in the Rwandan market to her new position.
Her career includes tenures as Reinsurance Manager and Head of Underwriting & Reinsurance, where she led key operational departments, grew portfolios, and maintained sound risk levels through careful underwriting and reinsurance strategy.
Throughout her career, Consolate has focused on streamlining operational workflows, strengthening relationships with reinsurance partners, and bolstering underwriting profitability through structures risk mitigation.
Continental Re’s recently established Rwanda office received the National bank of Rwanda approval back in August 2026.Â
The representative office, based in Kigali, forms part of the company’s longer-term commitment to the East African market and reflects its intention to strengthen relationships with insurers, brokers and other industry stakeholders in Rwanda.
