Carrie Lam has been appointed as Head of Reinsurance Operations at Munich Re North America Life.
Lam, who has been with Munich Re since 2017, takes on the new role after almost nine years as AVP & Actuary, Strategy & Client Experience at Munich Re Canada’s Life business.
In her new position, Lam will reportedly lead the Enablement unit for the North American Reinsurance Operations team, overseeing operational deliverables, data engineering and process excellence to support Munich Re’s North American Life & Health teams with timely, reliable data.
Lam brings more than two decades of actuarial and reinsurance experience to the role.
Before joining Munich Re, she spent four years as a Senior Manager at Collins Barrow Toronto Actuarial Services, providing insurance and reinsurance consulting services to financial institutions, affinity groups, captive reinsurers and corporates.
Earlier in her career, Lam was a Consulting Actuary at Dion, Durrell + Associates, where she spent more than nine years.
