Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) has launched guarantee services in Ireland and appointed Sean Mulvey as head of guarantees to lead the new product line.
Based in Dublin, Mulvey brings more than a decade of guaranteed underwriting and corporate banking experience to his new role.
He joins BHSI from Advent Risk Management where he served as a senior underwriter. Prior to this, he spent eight years at AIB, one of Ireland’s leading retail banks.
Caoimhe Gormley, BHSI Country Manager for Ireland, said: “As we continue to expand our capabilities in Ireland, we are delighted to be able to provide security solutions to leading construction companies here on large-scale national and international projects.”
He continued: “Sean’s deep experience and leadership, combined with BHSI’s long-term vision, strong credit rating and financial strength, will provide certainty and stability to the business as it pursues opportunities and helps deliver critical infrastructure.”
In Dublin, BHSI provides insurance such as major casualty insurance and professional indemnity insurance to engineering firms and construction contractors.
