AXA XL, the property and casualty specialty risk division of AXA, has expanded Rana Gillmon’s role to include Head of Client & Distribution, East and Private Equity Client Relations, Americas.

Her expanded remit will include leading client and distribution activities in the East Zone of the United States.

Currently, Gillmon develops and executes AXA XL’s private equity client engagement and growth strategy across the Americas.

She has over 25 years of insurance industry experience, having joined AXA XL in 2022.

Before that, she served at global insurer Chubb as Global Client Executive, managing key client relationships in the North America Major Accounts Division.

In the past, Gillmon spent 16 years at broker Marsh, holding several key roles, including Portfolio Manager in the firm’s Private Equity Mergers & Acquisitions Group.

She has worked with multinational corporations and global programmes in Dubai, where she led Marsh’s team for incoming multinational business and oversaw placements and partnerships with local markets across the Gulf Cooperative Council (GCC) region.

Matt O’Malley, Chief Client & Distribution Officer, Americas, AXA XL, commented on her new responsibility, “Supporting East Zone clients and brokers across all industry segments we serve starts with understanding their needs.

“I’m confident that Rana will bring our underwriting and distribution teams together to support East Zone clients and brokers access AXA XL’s expertise, global reach and services.

“Rana’s energy and ability to connect with people make her a great fit for this broader role. I’m also pleased that Rana will continue the tremendous work she does with private equity firms across the Americas in her expanded capacity.”
