AXA XL appoints Jiten Halai as Global CUO, Structured Risk Solutions

AXA XL, AXA’s property and casualty and specialty risks division, has appointed Jiten Halai as global chief underwriting officer for its structural risk solutions business.

In this role, Halai will guide the division’s global underwriting approach, enhancing AXA XL’s ability to deliver creative, non-traditional insurance solutions to corporate clients and captive insurance companies.

He will work with regional underwriting teams to strengthen and expand the firm’s alternative risk transfer capabilities globally.

AXA XL’s Structured Risk Solutions team specializes in providing non-traditional insurance and reinsurance products to corporate clients and captive insurance companies. Its work includes custom, multi-line and multi-year risk transfer structures, as well as performance insurance designed for emerging technologies. The team supports global organizations to address complex risks while opening new avenues for growth through advanced solutions.

Halai has over 15 years of experience in the insurance and financial services sectors. He joined AXA XL in 2019, most recently as Head of Structural Risk Solutions for UK and Lloyd’s markets. Earlier in his career, he held actuarial roles at Fidelis, Brit Insurance, ArgoGlobal and Catlin.
