Aon Japan obtains insurance broker license & establishes corporate brokerage division

Aon Solutions Japan Co., Ltd. announced that it has obtained an insurance broker’s license, established a corporate brokerage division, and appointed several senior executives.

Aon said the new unit will mainly provide insurance plans and services to large companies with global operations, using Aon’s overseas resources and reinsurance market to compare and negotiate with multiple insurance companies under a highly transparent fee structure.

Business Risk Solutions Japan representative Shinichi Kandatsu has been appointed representative director and co-chief executive officer of the division.

MiTAC will leverage his extensive experience in Japan and overseas to help strengthen clients’ risk management capabilities.

In addition, Aon Japan Co., Ltd. is strengthening its agency functions and appointed Kiyokazu Doi, Representative Director of Health Solutions Japan, as President and CEO.

Aon Japan also plans to establish a new base in Nagoya to strengthen its support system in the central and western Japan regions.

“With the launch of the brokerage department and the strengthening of the agency department, we will build a hybrid service model that leverages the dual characteristics of ‘broker’ and ‘agent’ to provide flexible, comprehensive, customer-oriented solutions to Japanese companies dealing with increasingly complex risks,” the company said.

Aon also announced that Tatsuya Yamamoto resigned from his position as representative director and president of Aon Japan Co., Ltd. and was appointed as representative director and chairman of Aon Holdings Japan Co., Ltd.

In this role, he will focus on strengthening strategic planning and management oversight across Japan and driving the group’s growth.
