Global insurance and reinsurance brokerage and risk advisor Aon has announced the appointment of Marcelo Elias as head of client and sales growth in Brazil.
In his new role, Elias will play a key role in Aon’s expansion plans and the development of new partnerships.
His appointment strengthens Aon’s engagement with clients and industries driving Brazil’s economy, enhancing the delivery of capabilities and solutions tailored to the needs of each business, while supporting decision-making in an increasingly volatile environment.
Elias has over 35 years of experience in the insurance brokerage industry, with expertise in team leadership, business development and delivering sustainable results in Brazil and Latin America.
Previously, he spent three years at Alper Seguros, most recently as Vice President of Corporate Risk.
Prior to that, he served as General Manager of Risk Solutions and Reinsurance at Lockton Brasil and held a number of senior leadership positions at Marsh Brasil, most recently as Head of Risk Management and Managing Director.
