Global insurance and reinsurance group Aon has announced the appointment of Winnie Loh as head of real estate and data centers for Southeast Asia, effective immediately.
Loh, who is based in Singapore and has more than 20 years of experience in the insurance industry, will lead the strategic direction and client service delivery of Aon’s real estate and data capabilities across Southeast Asia.
The executive will also continue to serve as a director on Aon’s commercial risk team, according to the announcement.
This strategic move comes at a time when data center investment in Southeast Asia is escalating, creating an increasingly complex risk profile for development, financing and long-term operations.
Loh will provide critical, insight-led advice as the industry rapidly transforms due to digitization, cloud adoption, artificial intelligence and greater expectations for resiliency.
She will help investors, developers and operators assess risk, build resilience and make more informed decisions throughout the asset lifecycle.
“Winnie’s appointment reflects both the pace of growth we are seeing in the region and the increasing complexity of the challenges faced by our clients,” said Jon Pipe, head of commercial risk for Asia at Aon. “Her deep industry expertise and leadership will be critical as we help clients gain greater clarity into the complex risk environment and align capital decisions with long-term performance.”
By combining data center expertise with real estate and Aon’s broader construction and infrastructure capabilities, the brokerage aims to strengthen its ability to support clients from early-stage development and capital structuring to operational risk management, resilience planning and long-term performance.
Andrew Minnitt, CEO and head of Southeast Asia at Aon Singapore, added: “As data center investment continues to accelerate across the region, clients are looking for advisors who understand how data centers intersect with real estate, construction and wider infrastructure risks. Winnie’s appointment strengthens our regional leadership and supports our focus on delivering more integrated, lifecycle-led solutions to clients in Southeast Asia.”
Loh’s appointment highlights Aon’s continued investment in data centers and digital infrastructure as an important and fast-growing asset class across Southeast Asia.
