Willis Re, the reinsurance advisory and broking joint venture between Bain Capital (BCIS) and WTW, has welcomed Zara Fountaine to its team, bringing additional expertise in credit, surety and political risk.

Fountaine began her career at Lloyd’s of London before training as a direct broker in the Political and Credit Risk team at Willis. She subsequently joined another global broker, where she managed its UK Public Agency portfolio.

Willis Re highlights Zara’s experience on the direct broking side, alongside her established relationships with banks, export credit agencies (ECAs) and insurers and reinsurers.

James Loggie, Head of Credit, Surety and Political Risk at Willis Re, commented: “Our clients face an increasingly complex credit, surety and political risk landscape, and we’re growing the team to help them navigate it. Zara brings direct-side knowledge and strong market relationships, and she’s a great addition as we expand the business.”

The appointment reflects Willis Re’s focus on strengthening its expertise and supporting clients across the credit, surety and political risk markets.
