Willis outlines North America leadership changes as part of Newfront integration

Insurance brokerage and advisory firm Willis has announced a series of senior leadership appointments across North America.

The changes proposed by Willis are part of its plan to support continued growth and advance the integration of Newfront, a specialist broker known for its use of technology.

Willis attributes the six appointments to its focus on strengthening regional capabilities, improving customer service and advancing expansion in key markets.

Rod Sockolov has been named market leader for Northern California and will report to Chuck Shay. Willis said his responsibilities will include supporting business development, shaping customer service delivery, strengthening relationships with carriers and developing talent in the Northern California region.

Willis also confirmed that Lynde Hotchkiss has been appointed as head of growth for the west. In this role, Willis said Hotchkiss will oversee the implementation of regional growth plans and initiatives aimed at developing producers, reporting to Shea.

In Northern California, Willis named Tom Whitenight as head of client partnerships, reporting to Sokolov. Willis said Whitenight will support producers in refining their growth strategies while continuing to manage a portfolio of clients in the technology and life sciences sectors.

Brian Hetherington serves as North America strategic growth leader. In this capacity, he will work with the leadership team to develop and implement growth plans, contribute to mentoring and development initiatives, and support revenue generation and insurance company relationships. He will report to Paolo Graziano.

In addition, Willis has appointed Frannie Epps as head of digital engagement for North America. Willis noted that Epps will be responsible for driving engagement across its digital tools and features and will report to Mike Jacobo.

“I’m delighted to welcome Rod, Lynde, Tom, Brian, Franny and Deirdre into their new roles,” added Pat Donnelly. “Their expertise and collaborative approach will strengthen our presence in key U.S. markets, support our clients and colleagues, and play an important role as we continue to unify our growth strategy and create value for our clients.”

WTW recently completed its acquisition of Newfront, a development Willis said expands its presence in the U.S. middle market while adding more expertise and technology support capabilities to support growth and customer solutions.
