Thierry Porté and Jonathan Cox join Niyam’s Board

Thierry Porté, managing director and vice chairman of JC Flowers & Co., and Jonathan Cox, managing director of JC Flowers & Co., have joined the board of directors of India-focused reinsurance platform Niyam Group.

Porté and Cox bring decades of experience investing in and building leading businesses around the world through J.C. Flowers & Co., one of the most prominent investors in financial services.

The company said their appointments underscore the strong partnership between Niyam and JC Flowers.

It also underscores the strong commitment to building a specialist reinsurer tailored for India and other emerging high-growth markets.

The additions of Porté and Cox are expected to strengthen Niyam’s governance, challenge our thinking and advance the Group’s long-term objectives.
