South Korea-based global reinsurer Korea Re has announced that Thana Narayanan has been appointed Chief Underwriting Officer (CUO) of its Dubai office.
Narayanan brings a wealth of regional and industry experience to Korean Re, having been with the organization for more than eight years prior to this appointment.
Most recently, he served as part-time regional head of energy, power and property risk, overseeing markets in the Middle East, Africa, Turkey, Greece and Cyprus. During his tenure, he also had responsibility for energy, power and industrial risks in these regions.
Prior to joining Korea Re, Narayanan served as Cooper Gay’s Middle East Director. Earlier in his career, he served as head of property and engineering and senior underwriter at Gulf Reinsurance Ltd.
“I am excited to start my new role as Chief Underwriting Officer of Korean Re Dubai,” said Narayanan.
