Specialty MGA, a member of the MNK Group, is strengthening its specialty finance product line with the appointment of Davood Khalaghizadeh as Directors and Officers (D&O) Senior Underwriter.
Khalaghizadeh has an extensive background with major global insurance companies and MGAs, including AIG, QBE and CV Starr, where he was responsible for D&O portfolios.
He subsequently rebuilt and grew the D&O business in Aspen and gained additional experience at Volante. His expertise spans international markets from small to high-cap insurance, with a focus on reinsurance and extensive involvement in the specialty risk sector.
Khalaghizadeh will lead the development of the commercial D&O product portfolio and related financial product lines at Specialty MGA. He will manage the multi-region books, support the group’s reinsurance strategy and help shape future direct insurance opportunities.
His appointment reflects Specialty MGA’s ambition to expand market coverage, enhance underwriting capabilities and deliver innovative, full-service solutions to brokers and clients around the world.
