Specialist Risk Group (SRG), a specialist insurance group focused on broking, underwriting and risk management, has consolidated its wholesale operations under a new proposition, SRG Global Risk Solutions, as part of efforts to provide brokers with more streamlined access to its specialist capabilities.
The new structure brings Miles Smith, CBC Partnership, Specialist Risk International (SRI) and The Underwriting Exchange (TUE) together under the Specialist Risk Group brand.
According to SRG, the move is intended to make its wholesale offering easier for brokers to navigate, while providing greater access to expertise and market relationships across the wider Group. It also brings the businesses into a more closely connected operating model, with teams able to work together across different markets, sectors and territories.
SRG said the changes are designed to give broker partners a clearer view of the expertise and solutions available across the Group. The business added that brokers will be able to continue accessing specialist support for a range of risks, from more straightforward requirements through to complex and unusual exposures.
The change does not alter the existing relationships between its businesses and broker partners. Existing teams and areas of expertise remain in place, while the new structure is intended to make it easier for those teams to draw on resources and capabilities elsewhere within SRG.
The rebrand was completed on 3 August 2026 and forms part of SRG’s broader strategy to bring its businesses closer together while maintaining their specialist knowledge, established market relationships and entrepreneurial approach.
Neil Nimmo, UK CEO at Specialist Risk Group, commented: “Our strength is the expertise of our people and the depth of their understanding of the markets they serve. Bringing our wholesale businesses together makes that expertise easier for brokers to access.
“Brokers will continue to work with the people they know and trust, but those teams are now more closely connected to the breadth of capabilities, relationships and expertise across SRG.
“Ultimately, this is about making SRG simpler to navigate and easier to do business with, while giving our people even greater ability to deliver for our broker partners and their clients.”
