American International Group, Inc. (AIG), a global insurance organisation, has announced the appointment of Sierra Signorelli as Chief Executive Officer, Americas and Global Personal Insurance, effective January 1, 2027.
In this new role, Signorelli will lead AIG’s North America, Latin America & Caribbean Commercial Insurance businesses as well as the Global Personal Insurance business.
She will also serve on AIG’s Executive Leadership Team, and report to Eric Andersen, President & Chief Executive Officer, AIG, who commented: “Sierra is a highly respected global insurance executive with significant relationships across the industry, deep technical experience managing complex businesses, tremendous market insights and a distinguished track record of driving growth and leading high-performing teams.
“Sierra’s leadership and perspective will be instrumental as we continue to execute our strategy and deliver greater value to our clients and partners. I am delighted to welcome Sierra back to AIG.”
Signorelli is rejoining AIG from Zurich, where she most recently served US Commercial Insurance. She has been a member of the company’s executive committee since 2021 and held senior executive roles including CEO Commercial Insurance, and Group Chief Underwriting Officer.
Earlier in her career, the executive spent 17 years with AIG in the Global Specialties division, serving as Global Chief Underwriting Officer, Specialty Lines, among other senior roles.
