Tokio Marine Life Insurance Singapore (TMLS) announced the appointment of Raymond Ong as Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
“With his deep industry expertise and regional perspective, Mr Ong is well-positioned to lead TMLS into its next phase of growth,” a TMLS spokesperson said.
Adding: “His appointment reinforces our focus on enhancing the customer experience, improving operational excellence and delivering solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers and partners.”
Prior to joining TMLS, Ong served as CEO of Etiqa Insurance Singapore, a life and general insurance company in Singapore and a member of the Maybank Group.
Prior to that, he worked at Great Western for nearly twelve years in a variety of roles.
As Group CEO, he oversees all areas of risk management across all Great Eastern Group entities, including financial risk, operational risk and governance, regulatory compliance and anti-money laundering compliance, market conduct and fair dealing, data management and governance and technology risk management.
During his time at Great Western, he also served as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Actuary.
During his career, Ong also held roles at AXA Minmetals Insurance (a joint venture between AXA Group and China Minmetals in Shanghai), AXA, Cigna International, Aviva, Allianz Insurance and the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS).
