Price Forbes names Chris Harris as MD, Head of US casualty

Price Forbes, a specialist insurance and reinsurance broker, has appointed Chris Harris as Managing Director (MD), Head of US casualty, effective immediately.

Harris, who has over three decades of industry experience in broking and underwriting roles with several MGAs, will lead and manage the US casualty team, set and execute strategic direction, and drive growth.

Most recently, he served at Howden as Divisional Director of US Casualty, and has previously held senior positions at brokerages such as Bowring Marsh and BMS.

Throughout his career, Harris has built extensive experience producing and placing US casualty business across the London, European, and Bermuda markets.

John Thompson, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Price Forbes Broking, commented on the appointment, “Chris brings considerable leadership experience having navigated the US casualty market through multiple cycles from both an underwriting and broking perspective.

Recently, Price Forbes expanded its cross-class follow facility, Lectio, to include casualty lines, after launching it in Bermuda, extending the facility’s premium scope to around USD 1.3 billion.
