Insurance broking and risk advisory group Howden has promoted Ping Li (Eva) to a senior leadership role at its mainland China reinsurance arm, Howden Re.
Li Ping has over 15 years of experience in the insurance and reinsurance sector and has been working in the Howden China team for five years.
During this time she contributed to the development of local business. In her expanded role, she will lead strategic planning, oversee operations and drive growth plans in mainland China.
Cynthia Cui, Howden Re’s head of finance for Asia Pacific, said: “China is an extremely important and dynamic market for Howden Re and we are delighted to appoint Eva to this key role within our leadership.”
David Wall, COO of International Growth Markets and HIBL International Center, added: “Eva’s deep understanding of the local business landscape, coupled with her wealth of knowledge and strategic vision, will help guide the China business into its next phase of growth.”
