Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG EMEA) has appointed Caroline Oehm as Managing Director (MD) Financial Institutions EMEA and Head of Insurance.
The move is in line with the company’s commitment to expand its global coverage in the non-bank financial sector.
Oehm will report to Matteo Ferrario, Managing Director, Financial Institutions Group (FIG), Head of Sponsored Insurance and Leveraged Finance EMEA.
In her new role, Oehm will lead and expand non-bank corporate coverage with a focus on insurance and pensions clients across the EMEA region and play a key role in accelerating the growth of MUFG’s EMEA region map.
She has over 18 years of experience across Europe, North America and Asia Pacific, most recently as Head of Financial Institutions Insurance (UK) at DBS Bank in London, where she led the bank’s UK and European insurance strategy.
Prior to that, Oehm spent 12 years at Lloyds Bank in senior insurance roles in New York and London, followed by more than two years at Aon developing global technology-enabled advisory platform strategies for insurers and reinsurers.

Earlier this year Milena Sheahan was appointed Managing Director, UK Specialist Lenders and Head of UK and International Banking across Fig’s EMEA team.
