Reinsurance broker Howden Re has announced the appointment of Matthew Overall as Managing Director, Retro, a London-based role.
Overall will take over his new position in 2027, following the completion of his contractual obligations with Guy Carpenter, his current employer.
He is joining Howden Re following close to nine years at Guy Carpenter, where he most recently served as Managing Director within the firm’s Non-Marine Specialties, Global Specialties.
Prior to Guy Carpenter, the executive spent four years serving as a Reinsurance Broker at Aon.
At Howden Re, Overall will report to Alex Bridges, CEO Global Retro, Howden Re, and will play a key role in the continued growth of the company’s global retrocession platform.
