Global reinsurance broker Marsh Re has appointed Nathalie Zaatar and Talal Sharif as the new Co-heads for the Middle East.
The pair will be based in Dubai, and together bring nearly four decades of combined insurance and reinsurance experience, along with deep market insight, technical expertise, and a strong focus on client partnerships.
Zaatar has most recently spent over five years as the Senior Vice President (SVP) for Treaty at Marsh based in Dubai.
She started her industry career in 1999 as a Non-Life Underwriter, underwriting marine and non-marine accounts.
She later went on to serve as a Retail Broker at Agence Saradar d’Assurances, and as a Treaty Placing Broker NASCO Karaoglance France, and also currently serves as the General Manager of Treaty for NASCO Karaoglan for DIFC.
In the past, Zaatar was also the Treaty Executive Director for Aon Benfield Middle East Ltd and a Senior Account Executive for United Insurance Brokers at DIFC, in charge of facultative property, construction, casualty and marine, and treaty business.
Most recently, Sharif was the SVP for IMEA at Marsh Re, a role he held for three years based in Dubai. He has also served as a Treaty Broker for International P&C at Lockton Re and as the Head of Reserving for Neon.
Sharif started his industry career by completing an internship at Intern Kuwait Financial Centre – Markaz and at Citi Bank.
