Independent insurance brokerage Lockton has strengthened its Swedish operations with the appointment of Johanna Nordkvist as senior vice president and head of casualty insurance and Anna Marchow as vice president and senior client advisor.

Nordkvist and Marchow, both from Marsh, have extensive experience advising large corporate clients in complex multi-jurisdictional environments.

Nordkvist has over two decades of experience in casualty and customer implementation, having held senior positions at JLT and AIG.

Maggio has spent the past decade coordinating complex insurance programs and advising multinational organizations across international markets.

Johan Lindvall, CEO of Lockton Sweden, said: “Johanna and Anna’s appointments reflect Lockton’s market-leading proposition and our ability to attract outstanding talent as we expand our business in Sweden and the Nordic region.

“In the year leading up to their arrival, we had doubled the size of our business, driven by our independence, customer-first attitude and ability to provide bespoke solutions to our clients.”

Both will be based in Lockton’s Stockholm office, working closely with colleagues across the casualty, complex property, affinity and real estate sectors in Sweden, London and the US.

Commenting on her new appointment, Nordkvist said: “Lockton’s independent ownership, entrepreneurial culture and strong customer focus made it a compelling choice.

“Its ambitious growth plans provide an exciting opportunity to strengthen our service offering to large multinationals and help clients navigate increasingly complex and dangerous cross-border environments.”

Marchow added: “Lockton’s Swedish entrepreneurial spirit makes it an exciting market for international risk consulting. Like Lockton, I take a client-first approach and am committed to building long-term relationships that deliver tangible value to our clients.”

Their appointments come as the company accelerates growth in Sweden and the wider Nordic region. This growing business reflects a wider strategy to meet growing demand for independent client services while strengthening its position in key areas.
