Emma Loynes has been promoted to chief executive (CEO) of specialist Lloyd’s Insurance and Reinsurance Markets Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa (APMEA), succeeding Chris Mackinnon.
Loynes joined Lloyd’s, the world’s oldest re/insurance market, in 2018 as senior manager of market oversight and delivery, and in 2021 took on the role of head of market development transformation. In 2023, she was appointed CEO of Lloyd’s Asia and Country Manager for Singapore, retaining her position as Country Manager for Singapore and concurrently serving as CEO of APMEA.
Prior to joining Lloyds, she worked at RSA for over 22 years in various leadership roles, most recently as Regional Operations Director for UK RSA Commercial.

Additionally, Lloyd’s has confirmed that Scott Galloway has resigned as Lloyd’s General Representative in New Zealand after 25 years in the market. During his tenure, Galloway successfully guided Lloyds through a period of significant regulatory change and supported the growth of its business in New Zealand.
He will continue to provide expertise as a member of the Lloyd’s Australia Board of Directors and as Chairman of the New Zealand Sub-Committee.
Simon Wilson will serve as Lloyd’s General Representative in New Zealand with effect from 1 January 2026. He worked in Lloyd’s of London’s Regulatory Affairs team and Performance Management Directorate from 2014 to 2021 and supported a number of key strategic projects across the APMEA region through 2025, Lloyd’s explained.
Previously, Wilson served as Regulatory Affairs Manager at Farmers Mutual Group for over a year and was Country Manager at Hollard Insurance Company in Australia and Head of Hollard New Zealand for over two years.
