Liberty Specialty Markets (LSM), a division of Liberty Mutual Insurance Group, has appointed Kevin Demmon to the newly created position of Property Division Director, effective March 19, 2026.
In his new role, Demmon will be based in London and report to Henry Nelson, chief underwriting officer and active underwriter, UK and MENA.
He is responsible for the UK Commercial and D&F International portfolios and will run the integrated business unit, overseeing the development and implementation of underwriting strategy.
In addition, Dimon will manage the strategic objectives of Liberty’s UK and MENA real estate divisions.
Most recently, he served as head of international real estate at Everest, where he oversaw a portfolio of global retail and wholesale businesses.
Demmon has over twenty years of experience in the London market, having previously held roles at RSA, Swiss Re, XL Insurance and Zurich.
Nelson commented on the appointment: “We are delighted to welcome Kevin to the team and look forward to watching him develop and establish himself in this new role.
“His extensive knowledge of the London market will be invaluable in providing direction and priorities as Liberty expands and strengthens its international real estate business.”
