Former James Bond actor Léa Seydoux has claimed that recent behind-the-scenes changes will impact the film series in ways that people might not have even considered.
Léa played Madeleine Swann in the two most recent 007 films, Spectre and No Time To Die, the latter of which saw her character having a baby with James Bond.
During a new interview with Elle UK, the French performer was asked about the future of the 007 franchise, admitting that she felt the departure of long-serving executive producer Barbara Broccoli would have a long-lasting impact on the movies.

“I really loved working with Barbara Broccoli and her brother Michael [G Wilson],” she enthused. “It was one of the best experiences, a pure delight.
“And I don’t know, it will be different [moving forward].”
Praising French filmmaker Denis Villeneuve, who will helm the long-awaited 26th Bond film, as a “great choice”, she continued: “Let’s see. I’m curious how they will reinvent it.
“But for me, it will never be the same because it was Barbara’s father who initiated the Bond movies. Now, I don’t know.”
“It became American… I hope they will keep the British spirit,” she added with a shrug.
In February 2025, it was revealed that long-time 007 producers Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli – who had been in charge of every Bond movie since Pierce Brosnan’s tenure – would be stepping back from their creative duties.
Following this, Amazon MGM Studios took creative control of the blockbuster franchise, the last instalment of which, No Time To Die, hit cinemas in 2022.
Wilson said at the time: “With my 007 career spanning nearly 60 incredible years, I am stepping back from producing the James Bond films to focus on art and charitable projects.
“Therefore, Barbara and I agree, it is time for our trusted partner, Amazon MGM Studios, to lead James Bond into the future.”

Outgoing Bond Daniel Craig later issued a statement, which read: “My respect, admiration and love for Barbara and Michael remain constant and undiminished.
“I wish Michael a long, relaxing (and well-deserved) retirement and whatever ventures Barbara goes on to do, I know they will be spectacular and I hope I can be part of them.”
