Liberty Specialty Markets, a division of Liberty Mutual Insurance Group, has announced the appointment of Monique Kooijman as general manager for the Netherlands, Belgium and Northern Europe.
Liberty Specialty Markets said: “Kooijman’s appointment reflects our continued investment in our European business, driving continued growth in these strategic markets and supporting our wider ‘Invest in Europe’ strategy and ambitions to 2030.”
Kooijman brings more than 30 years of international insurance experience to her new role, most recently at Everest as Netherlands Branch Manager and Head of Northern Europe.
Prior to this, she worked for CNA Hardy for over seven years as Regional Director for Nordics and Regional Director for Benelux.
The executive also spent 21 years with Chubb Insurance Company Europe, where she held a variety of positions of increasing responsibility since joining the company in 1995.
