Former Celebrity Traitors star Joanne McNally has claimed she had to drop an episode of her podcast lifting the lid on her time on the show, as it would have violated a contractual agreement with the BBC.
Joanne made it through to the penultimate episode of The Celebrity Traitors’ second season, which aired its gripping finale last week, and had previously vowed to dedicate a bonus episode of her podcast My Therapist Ghosted Me to spilling some juicy behind-the-scenes tea.
The bonus episode was originally scheduled to go out on Sunday, but it wound up not going live, with producer Joe Attewell setting the record straight early on in Wednesday’s instalment.

“We recorded that on Friday afternoon,” he explained. “It was a tell-all behind the scenes, and all about Joanne’s experience on Celebrity Traitors.”
Unfortunately, though co-host Vogue Williams said the interview featured plenty of “juicy” details, Joe added that “just about everything that had been spoken about on the podcast was a violation of contracts that had been signed” and, as a result, couldn’t be released.
“We’d be taken to the gallows!” Joanne noted.
Thankfully, Joanne has been able to shed some light on her time on Celebrity Traitors, recently telling her listeners about exactly what happens after a contestant has been banished.

“You get off the podium, they rush you out the side door and you’re bundled into a van like Whitney Houston in the Bodyguard,” she said last week, revealing that contestants also have a backpack with them at all times, in case their elimination takes place at night, and they need to be taken to a hotel.
During her time in the castle, she formed a strong bond with Maya Jama, with the Love Island host recently telling her Instagram followers: “Fun fact – about halfway through everyone stopped having their [one allocated alcoholic] drink a night so they could focus, so we sneakily drank theirs.”
“Cling cling!” she then added.
