Jio Financial invests ₹147.45 crore in JV Allianz Jio Reinsurance

Jio Financial Services Limited has subscribed and been allotted 14,74,50,000 equity shares worth Rs 10 each in its joint venture Allianz Jio Reinsurance Limited, according to a filing with the National Stock Exchange of India Limited (NSE).

With the latest investment, Jio Financial’s total investment in the previously announced joint venture now reaches Rs 150 Cr.

Jio Financial explained that the transaction does not require government or regulatory approval and Allianz Jio Reinsurance plans to use the new funds to fund its business operations.

Jio Financial said the investment was a related-party transaction and was made on an “arm’s length basis”. None of the company’s promoters or group entities are involved in the investment.

To recall, in September 2025, Allianz Europe BV and Jio Financial officially established a reinsurance joint venture in India and named the new entity Allianz Jio Reinsurance Limited.

It was initially announced that both parties would hold equal shares, with an initial subscription amount of Rs 2.5 lakh and a maximum of 25,000 shares of Rs 10 each.
