Ryan Specialty Underwriting Managers (RSUM), the underwriting management arm of Ryan Specialty, announced the appointment of Jeff Smith as Chief Executive Officer of the newly formed Ryan Specialty Renewables business, effective immediately.
Ryan Specialty Renewables is the arm of RSUM that manages the general underwriting business and is focused on delivering renewable energy and energy transition solutions globally.
This announcement includes the rebranding and unification of RSUM’s three existing renewable energy MGUs (PERse North America, PERse International and Albus). The MGU rebrand will be completed in the third quarter of 2026.
Through a comprehensive, unified platform, Ryan Specialty Renewables offers a broad range of renewable energy insurance products and services to clients and capital providers.
The business offers a comprehensive suite of solutions by integrating specialized global capabilities, underwriting expertise and strong market relationships. This global strategy for managing power and renewable energy risks ensures deep industry proficiency and quality service for large and mid-market insureds.
