XS Global, the independently owned managed general underwriting (MGU) platform, has announced the appointment of Imad Kehdy as the new head of XS Global’s Africa first-party business, responsible for real estate, engineering, power and energy.
Imad brings over a decade of reinsurance experience to his new role, most recently as Reinsurance Manager at Barents Re in Dubai, where he led the interim underwriting team in the real estate and engineering sectors.
At Barents Re, he also held full underwriting authority for the MENA region and was also responsible for guiding pricing and risk acceptance, driving annual business planning and assisting in structuring the regional retrocession program.
His career spans the entire reinsurance value chain, from technical accounting at Chedid Re in Lebanon to all levels of interim underwriting during his 12 years at Barents Re.
