ICW Specialty, the specialty insurance business unit of ICW Group, has launched Legacy Solutions, a new platform designed to help self-insured corporations and other organisations manage and transfer long-term insurance liabilities, with Lisa Walsh to lead the new platform.
Legacy Solutions is expected to go to market in September 2026, focusing on loss portfolio transfers (LPTs) largely associated with workers’ compensation claims.
The new platform expands ICW Specialty’s growing portfolio of specialised insurance and complex risk solutions and supports ICW Group’s overall product diversification strategy.
As Head of Legacy Solutions, Walsh will guide the development and execution of Legacy Solutions from the ground up, including building a team to support its growth.
Her technical expertise and proven ability to navigate complex risk transfer transactions position her to build a differentiated solution for clients.
Walsh brings more than 35 years of insurance industry experience spanning actuarial, underwriting, broking, structured reinsurance and complex risk transfer.
Prior to joining ICW Specialty, she spent 20 years at Swiss Re, where she held senior leadership roles focused on developing and underwriting structured solutions across property and casualty, including significant experience in workers’ compensation.
Earlier in her career, Walsh served as Senior Vice President, Structured Solutions at Aon Benfield and also held roles at London Life and Travelers.

The introduction of the Legacy Solutions platform marks another milestone in the continued expansion of ICW Specialty. Since its launch in 2025, ICW Specialty has brought Excess Casualty, National Flood and Alternative Risk Transfer solutions to market.
