Howden Re, part of Howden Re, has made five new appointments to its cyber reinsurance arm as it continues to respond to growing demand from clients around the world.
Howden Re said the expansion supports the continued development of its cyber reinsurance capabilities, including establishing a dedicated presence in the United States to serve its growing customer base. The company has also added actuarial resources and strengthened existing modeling and threat intelligence capabilities.
Michael Giuliano has joined Howden Re as director of the cyber reinsurance team. He will be based in New York and work with the network and US Casualty teams to contribute to the development of Howden Re’s network products for the US market. He previously served as a partner at McGill and Partners, where he focused on cyber insurance and reinsurance portfolio solutions.
Ram Ramakrishnan has also been appointed as a director of Howden Re, where he will lead the network actuarial function. In this role, he will further develop the company’s actuarial capabilities and support its modeling and threat intelligence efforts. Prior to joining Howden Re, he led analytics efforts for the cyber reinsurance business at Lockton Re and contributed to casualty and aviation work.
In addition to these appointments, Howden Re has also added three additional team members. Lewis Birch joins Aon as an associate director and will focus on working with clients and markets to deliver reinsurance solutions.
Georgia Surridge has been appointed associate director to oversee account management within the network team, having previously held senior account management roles at Aon Japan. Haakon Pedersen joins Howden Re as an associate in Chaucer’s analytics team, responsible for risk management in both direct insurance and reinsurance businesses.
