Bermuda-headquartered international specialist insurer Hiscox has released current estimates for the 2024 and 2025 accounts of Syndicate 33 and Syndicate 6104.
For the 2024 year of account, Hiscox has raised its estimates for Syndicate 33, which is now expected to generate a return of 6.1% to 16.1% on its capacity of GBP 1.696 billion, of which Hiscox holds a 73% share. This compares to the previous projection range of between 3.4% and 15.4%.
For the 2025 year of account, Syndicate 33 aims to generate a return of 3.4% to 13.4%, which is relatively stable when compared to the previous estimated range of 3.5% to 13.5% on its capacity of GBP 1.699 billion, of which Hiscox holds a 73% share.
Syndicate 6104 saw notable improvements in its profit projection for both years. It is important to note that Hiscox, as a company, does not hold any ownership of this Syndicate.
For the 2024 year of account, Syndicate 6104 is now estimated to generate a return of 10.3% to 22.8% on its GBP 56 million capacity, compared to the previous range of 3.8% and 21.3%.
Meanwhile, for the 2025 year of account, Syndicate 6104 is expected to produce a return in the range of 28.2% to 38.2%, on the capacity of GBP 78 million. This compares to the earlier estimated range of 23.2% to 38.2%.

It should also be noted that all Syndicates’ estimates are calculated after standard personal expenses, including managing agent fees and profit commission and all charges levied directly on syndicates by Lloyd’s, but before Members Agents’ charges.
