HDI Global strengthens US Credit and Political Risk operations with Amy Shinkman appointment

Corporate and specialty insurer HDI Global (HDI), a provider of commercial insurance and risk management solutions to businesses around the world, has appointed Amy Shinkman as head of credit and political risk for its U.S. operations.

In the newly created role, Shinkman will be based in Washington, D.C. and will oversee the continued expansion of HDI Global’s credit and political risk businesses in the U.S. market.

HDI Global said she will work closely with multilateral organizations, financial institutions, public sector bodies and insurance brokers to further strengthen the company’s services in this specialized area.

Shinkman joins the firm with 25 years of global credit and political risk underwriting experience. Throughout her career, she has led teams of professionals to develop tailored solutions for clients and support long-term, profitable business growth.

Prior to joining HDI Global, Shinkman served as vice president of export credit insurance for the Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM), where he managed the organization’s export credit insurance portfolio. Earlier in her career, she held various underwriting and leadership roles at AIG and Atradius, gaining international experience while working in London and Singapore.
