global insurance broker Gallagher expanded his Sarah Dezes has been hired as head of tax insurance for its fast-growing private equity and M&A practice (PEMA), providing tax insurance solutions and cross-border transaction expertise.
Headquartered in Paris, Dezes will lead Gallagher’s tax insurance practice in France, where she will structure tax insurance solutions for private capital funds and corporates in M&A and non-deal environments.
The executive has spent more than 15 years advising on tax risks in M&A transactions and has developed a deep understanding of how to identify, negotiate and structure specific tax risks.
The company said her expertise will ensure Gallagher is best placed to deploy tax liability insurance solutions as part of the wider Gallagher PEMA proposition.
Dezes joins Gallagher from PwC Société d’Avocats, where she spent 15 years as a qualified solicitor, most recently as a senior director in the M&A tax team, advising corporate and private equity sponsors on complex mid-sized and large transactions.
Over the course of her career, she has also gained extensive experience in coaching and developing teams across different jurisdictions, which, coupled with her legal and finance background, allows her to combine precise technical skills with an understanding of transaction dynamics and the priorities of various stakeholders.
Dezes will join Gallagher on August 17, 2026, expanding the presence of the PEMA business in France and across Europe.
Charles Amblard recently joined the French brokerage as a senior advisor responsible for client relationship development across Europe and expanding Gallagher’s presence in the European private equity and M&A community in terms of pre- and post-deal value creation.
