Global insurance brokerage, risk management and advisory firm Gallagher has announced the appointment of Gabriella Eriksen Wingren as Head of Nordic Transaction Solutions for its global multi-disciplinary Private Equity and M&A practice (PEMA), effective July 22, 2026.
Based in Sweden, Eriksen will work closely with industry expert colleagues in the interdisciplinary PEMA practice and Gallagher’s Nordic risk management and insurance broking practices to ensure clients benefit from a fully integrated approach to their strategic risk needs.
Emilia Johansson will report to Eriksen, who joined Gallagher in February as a W&I insurance and M&A broker with a background advising private equity firms and corporate clients on strategic risk transfer solutions across industries and deal sizes.
Erickson brings experience as a corporate and M&A attorney to her new role. Prior to joining Gallagher, she served as European Head of Warranty and Indemnity (W&I) Insurance at Themis Underwriting and previously held the position of Senior W&I Underwriter.
Prior to this, she was a manager at PwC Sweden, advising private equity and corporate clients on structuring and executing complex transactions across multiple industries. Prior to that, she provided legal advisory services as part of the private equity transactions team at global private markets firm EQT.
Gallagher said Erickson’s appointment further supports the PEMA business’s continued focus on building client-centric expertise in M&A solutions and the broader capital advisory space, expanding its geographic coverage to be closer to client communities and strengthening regional leadership.
This follows the announcement earlier this month of the formation of a new PEMA team in Italy, which included the appointment of Federica Marcabruni to a similar regional leadership role as Head of Transaction Solutions for Italy.
