Fathom Reinsurance Partners, a Dallas, Texas-based reinsurance intermediary, announced the appointment of industry veteran Mark Rex as managing partner.
Rex has nearly four decades of reinsurance industry experience, specializing in treaty and program brokerage in the property and casualty insurance space.
His arrival is expected to significantly enhance Fathom Re’s client advisory capabilities, particularly in the areas of project design and strategic risk transfer.
A Fathom Re spokesperson commented: “Mark plays a key role in the company’s strategic direction and oversight of key initiatives, with a focus on business development and the continued development of its technology and analytics platform.”
Rex previously worked at BMS Re as Executive Vice President. Prior to his tenure, BMS Re acquired Trean, an independent US-based reinsurance brokerage and services company.
Over the course of his career, the executive also held various positions at Willis, Aon and Guy Carpenter brokerage firms, where he led the workers’ compensation plans practice.
