Everest Group, Ltd., a global leader in specialty reinsurance and insurance, has appointed Stephen Buonpane as global head of global wholesale and specialty lines (GWS) Construction and promoted Danielle Stewart to president of Everest Evolution™, both effective October 1.
In this newly created role, Buonpane will reportedly lead Everest’s global construction business, driving underwriting strategy, market coordination and broker relationships in key markets.
He will report to Jason Keen, executive vice president and chief executive officer of Everest Global Wholesale & Specialty.
Buonpane was named President of Everest Evolution™ in 2024. He previously served as Everest’s casualty and industry practice leader.
Prior to Everest, he held senior construction and casualty roles, including executive vice president and construction industry practice leader at Chubb.
Meanwhile, Stewart currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer of Everest Evolution™ and is said to have played a central role in the development of the platform since its launch in 2024.
She will now lead Evolution’s continued growth in the U.S. wholesale market, overseeing underwriting, portfolio management, operations and distribution. Stewart reports to Lisa Davis, head of wholesale and specialty products, North America.
Stewart joined Everest in 2022 and was named Chief Operating Officer of Everest Evolution™ in 2024. She previously served as director of national wholesale distribution for Everest Insurance® and held leadership roles at Liberty Mutual.
