Bermuda-based insurance and reinsurance company Everest Group has appointed Jason Busti as its new North American head of treaty reinsurance, responsible for leading treaty reinsurance operations in the United States, Bermuda and Canada.
Busti will report to Jill Beggs, executive vice president and chief executive officer of Reinsurance, and will serve as a key member of her leadership team.
Most recently, he served as North America President of reinsurer AXIS Re, where he led the treaty reinsurance business in the United States, Bermuda and Canada.
Earlier in his career, he spent more than two decades at Swiss Re, one of the world’s largest reinsurers, where he held a variety of senior leadership roles, including Managing Director, Client Executive, where he led client management and broker market underwriting teams.
Beggs commented on the appointment: “Jason is a well-respected leader with a deep understanding of the North American reinsurance market and a proven track record of building strong client partnerships.
“His extensive experience managing large treaty portfolios and long-standing relationships with clients and brokers across the industry make him well-positioned to lead our North American business.”
She continued: “Jason is an excellent addition to our senior leadership team, and I look forward to working with him to continue to strengthen our services across North America and deliver long-term value to our partners.”
