EPIC Insurance Brokers and Consultants, Inc. (EPIC), a US-based insurance brokerage and advisory company, announced the appointment of Monica Donatelli as head of national surety practice development.

In her new role, Donatelli will leverage her more than 16 years of experience in construction and commercial bonding to develop practice strategy, client service delivery and expand the firm’s bonding capabilities across the United States.

Throughout her career, the executive has advised a wide range of clients, including contractors, developers, investor-backed platforms and financial institutions.

She was recently elected president of the National Association of Surety Bond Producers (NASBP) and will lead multiple initiatives to educate federal, state and local officials on the value of suretyships.

At EPIC, Donatelli will leverage her extensive professional network and proven abilities to lead an elite assurance team to enhance market capacity access.

She is tasked with developing customized bonding strategies for diverse customer segments in sectors such as energy, healthcare, financial services, waste management, transportation and construction.

Donatelli commented, “EPIC’s national platform provides a solid foundation for serving clients with bonding and risk management needs. The firm’s commitment to thinking big, inspiring trust and delivering results for clients aligns closely with my own approach to leadership and service.”

“I am excited to build on the existing momentum and help grow the firm’s guarantee practice, further strengthening its client-first approach and delivering specialized solutions to organizations that rely on guarantees as a key part of their business.”

Her appointment follows EPIC’s acquisition of the Bond Exchange, which strengthens the company’s contract and commercial guarantee capabilities.
