Dominick Hoare, chief underwriting officer of Munich Re’s Specialty, Global Markets and Active Underwriting Syndicate 457 Group, will retire at the end of 2026 after more than 32 years of service.
Hall joined Munich Re in 1994 and held various senior underwriting and leadership roles during his tenure.
He has a strong reputation in the London market and beyond, with Munich Re highlighting his “deep technical expertise, sound judgment and commitment to clients, brokers and colleagues.”
In his current role, Hall helps strengthen underwriting governance and technology standards and plays a key role in shaping the strategic direction of the company’s underwriting business.

He is highly respected for his underwriting talent, technical expertise and thoughtful leadership, and has been instrumental in strengthening our engagement with clients and brokers across the market.”
Hall will remain in his current role for the remainder of the year to ensure continuity and support the business. While a replacement has not yet been announced, Munich Re said it would share further updates in due course.
