CRC Group, a wholesale distributor of specialty insurance in North America, has expanded its specialty insurance division with the addition of four new professionals.
Matthew Duff has joined CRC Specialty in Little Rock as underwriting team leader. He has more than a decade of industry experience in homeowners, personal lines, and excess and surplus underwriting.
Duff joins CRC from One General Agency, where he worked as a personal lines underwriter. Prior to that, he held senior underwriting positions at Jencap and Burns & Wilcox.
Ron Bussey has been named senior broker at CRC Specialty. In this role, he will be based in Nashville, Tennessee and focus on casualty placement for large and mid-market clients.
Bussey has over 25 years of experience in casualty insurance, managing projects and placements across multiple industries, providing clients with innovative solutions for complex risk portfolios.
Michael Gallien, Jr. has joined as a broker specializing in energy, construction and transportation risks. He will report to the Dallas, Texas office.
Gallien brings two decades of experience in business development and underwriting, building lasting relationships with retail organizations while building effective underwriting programs for clients in high-risk industries.
Prior to joining the company, he worked as a commercial insurance broker at Texas Security General Insurance Agency. Prior to that, he served as Senior Business Development Consultant at Third Coast Underwriters (3CU). Earlier in his career, Gallien held various positions at CBIZ Insurance Services, Amwins, AIG and Travelers.
Alan Renfroe has been appointed as a broker in CRC Specialty’s Birmingham office, responsible for the strategic development of the Birmingham Professional Lines team (BHM PRO).
Renfroe has nearly 15 years of professional insurance leadership experience. Prior to joining CRC, he served as national director of consumer insurance at McGriff, where he led a portfolio of five specialty insurance profit centers covering marine, catastrophe and direct-to-consumer insurance solutions.
